pets are fun

sooooooooooo apparently, our youngest and biggest dog swallowed a sock, an entire sock.  i know this because there was much yelping and howling at the, ummm, exit of the sock, enough that i went outside to investigate and i don’t think there’s any way to erase that sight from my brain.  i suppose i should be grateful that the sock, err, exited and that it didn’t block his intestines, but right now, i’m mostly just completely grossed out.

and sunday, one of our cats set its hair on fire or something falling into the reptile heat lamp, resulting in giant clumps of smelly charcoaled kitty hair falling off the cat all over the house (the cat’s fine, just sort of bald in one spot).  it made me think immediately of the time when michael jackson set his hair on fire filming the pepsi commercial, i really don’t know why, but i sort of like to think of the cat running through the house yelling “tito! jermaine! help!”  anyway.  pets are fun.
